My name is Angela Rieder, and I am starting a GoFundMe for my husband Terry. Terry was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma in March of 2021. As the years have progressed, so has his cancer. What started in his kidney has now spread to his lungs, lymph nodes, adrenal glands, and bones. In October 2022, Terry had to have a rod put in his left leg to reinforce the femoral neck due to the lesion causing weak bone. This was a very hard surgery, and an even harder recovery. Terry's oncologist strongly recommended that it was time to retire from his job. This was a very hard decision for him, but it was a necessary one. Terry has a team of doctors because this type of cancer cannot be cured. He will be on treatment for the rest of his life. These doctors include his oncologist, radiation oncologist, orthopedic oncologist, neuro-oncologist, and his palliative care. All of these doctors are located in Pittsburgh, which is a 160-mile round trip for travel. He also receives an IV immunotherapy every six weeks, which is another 135-mile round trip for us.

To know Terry is to love Terry!! He is dedicated to his fire department and his Masonic Lodge. He is a "I will do anything for anybody" kinda guy. He always puts his family and friends before himself. He is also a proud man and never wants to ask for help, even when he should. So I am asking for him... All of these doctor trips and travel over the last 4 years have really put a strain on us. It is getting harder to keep up, as doctor visits become more frequent due to his cancer continuing to progress and worsen. If anyone could help, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Terry says... Even if you are unable to donate, please share Terry's story. He is a guy who deserves the world and doesn't deserve all of this hardship. As much as he would love to work, because sitting still drives him stir crazy, the doctor won't release him to do so. I just love this man so VERY much, and it breaks my heart to see him struggle. I would love to be able to take some of the worry off of his shoulders... If y'all could help me, help him.
