- My husband Terry of 45 years is in need of a liver transplant due to non-alcoholic cirrhosis.
Terry was diagnosed with liver cancer (HCC) in February 2025. The cancer was treated in July 2025. By October 2025, the cancer was gone, and he was then approved to be on the liver transplant list in November 2025.
Most recent blood work showed his tumor marker is very high, and new cancer was found in his liver and possibly elsewhere in his body. Due to new cancer being detected, he will need treatment for the cancer and be cancer-free to be able to get back on the liver transplant list.
Tests and treatments done last year will now need to be done again to continue to check on his liver as well as possible new treatments for any cancer.
The transplant hospital is out of state for us. Doctor's appointments, treatments, and screenings take place there, which is about a 3-hour drive.
Any financial support that may be extended to us for medical co-pays, deductibles, medications, out-of-pocket percentages not covered, and travel/hotel stays would be most appreciated. Every little amount helps.
All good vibes and prayers are greatly appreciated.
