Hello, my name is Amber Ceska and I am starting this GoFundMe for my mother-in-law, Terry Dahlstrom. On March 11th, Terry went to the hospital with what we thought was a really bad migraine. After some testing, we found out she had a brain tumor on the stem of her brain. She was rushed to the ICU at Hinsdale Hospital where she had emergency brain surgery. She remained in the ICU for two weeks. While she was there, they discovered that she has Stage 4 lung cancer which spread to the brain. In the coming weeks, Terry will be doing extensive radiation and chemotherapy. This is where the help will be needed. Terry lives in a 55 and over community and will need to sell her home. She is moving into an apartment to be near her son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. We will be taking her to her treatments and helping care for her during this new journey. She will have to pay on her home and the rent at the apartment until the home is sold. With mounting medical bills, this will be hard for Terry to do. So, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am doing this for Terry because she has been through so much these past 14 years. She beat Stage 4 lymphoma, had bypass surgery and two aortic valve replacements, has suffered from severe anemia, and has had countless iron and blood transfusions. This diagnosis of Stage 4 lung and brain cancer has been very difficult for us to deal with. Terry has always been there for us and now it’s our time to help her navigate this difficult diagnosis.
