Help Terry Brauch beat cancer!

Donation protected
Sometimes life hits you with a big fat sucker-punch and then you have to figure out how to handle it...and that is exactly what Terry Brauch is doing. On December 15, 2016 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Twenty-six days later he had a "Whipple" surgery (removing part of the pancreas, part of the stomach and the gallbladder).

Unfortunately the pathology report following the surgery showed that all of the cancer was not removed and remains in the pancreas. Four to five days following the surgery, a CT scan showed that part of Terry's liver was necrotic (dead). The surgeon hopes this portion of the liver will be reabsorbed by his body. Terry was in ICU until January 23rd but has since been moved to a regular room on the cancer floor of the hospital. He will remain there while the surgeon assesses if he needs to go back into surgery for the necrotic liver or if the body is reabsorbing it.

Terry and his wife Wendy have been together since 1999 and have been married for the last 14 years.  He also has two grown children, Billie Payton and Clay Brauch, who both live in Texas. Terry is also the grandfather of three young children.

Terry is the sole income provider for him and Wendy, and Wendy will be the sole caregiver once Terry comes home and begins his long road ahead of treatments and recovery. During this time Terry will be out of work indefinitely, and although he has health insurance, the regular day-to-day bills will pile up and still need to be paid.

The funds collected here will be put towards their monthly mortgage payments, home & auto insurance, monthly utilities, groceries, etc.

Terry has been employed with Intermountain Electric, Inc. for 46 years. Starting out as an apprentice he has risen through the ranks and is currently a Field Superintendent at various jobsites for the Special Projects Division of IME.  He is one of the few employees left who still remembers what it was like to work under C.C. Weiss, the founder of IME.

Terry is an amazing welder and can create things that others find hard to imagine. He also loves his dirt bikes and hanging out with their bulldogs Rhino and Peachy.

All contributions made are greatly appreciated and will ease the financial burden of not having a steady income for the foreseeable future.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
