Help Terry Allen Heal and Keep His Home

Hi, I’m Terry Allen. I am a paraplegic that uses a wheelchair to get around. I am currently hospitalized with sepsis, caused by a bone infection from a bed sore. I drove to the hospital on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025. They did all kinds of blood work at the Dekalb Regional Medical Center ER and determined I was septic. On Thursday of last week, a surgeon put me under for a debridement and found my hip bone to be infected. I have Medicare only for insurance and I am out of work indefinitely. Hopefully not super long, but I am scheduled to transport via ambulance to Encompass Acute Rehab Clinic to continue to heal. I have a PICC line in my shoulder to continue antibiotics for 6-8 weeks. I am scheduled to be at Encompass for 7-10 days. After that, it will be months of home health and at least 2 more surgeries. I know that my hospital deductible is $1200. It’s automatic with Medicare. I plan to be back to work as soon as possible. The medical staff is aware of my situation and the plan is to get me back to work ASAP. In the interim, I have only disability coming in. I wouldn’t even ask for anything, but I have 6 dogs, half a mortgage, and a truck payment. I fear we will lose everything. Please help in any way. Share this, please!!
