Terrie Burden is a 68-year-old woman who has faced more than her share of challenges. She lives with a traumatic brain injury, and recently, her mobile home was destroyed in a fire. In a matter of moments, Terrie lost everything she owned—her home, her clothes, and all her personal possessions. Now, she is staying with a family member while she tries to rebuild her life from scratch.

Terrie is a close friend who leads a very simple life and has simple needs. She never asks for much; she just loves to go for a ride and maybe visit a store. She finds joy in the color pink, Hello Kitty, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite everything she’s been through, Terrie remains sweet and hopeful. Right now, she has nothing and is relying on the kindness of others to help her get back on her feet.
