Help Terrica Rebuild Her Family Home

Hi, my name is Terrica. I’m a single mother of 4 seeking financial help because I’m drowning. I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a humble request for assistance. As a single mother of four beautiful children, I have always strived to provide them with a stable and loving home. However, despite my best efforts, I am now facing an overwhelming financial crisis. The mounting debt and endless bills have become an insurmountable burden, making it nearly impossible to meet our basic needs.

I have one 26-year-old daughter and three sons ages 22, 18, and 16 years old. I have put my older two kids through college, and my 18-year-old in college now. All of them are very active in school, sports, and activities.

In recent months, unforeseen circumstances have significantly impacted my financial stability. My job, which is our primary source of income, has not been enough to keep up with the increasing cost of living and the unexpected expenses that keep arising. Medical bills, car repairs, household bills, and everyday essentials have drained our savings and left us struggling to stay afloat. Every month has been a battle to make ends meet, and the stress of this situation is taking a toll on both my physical and mental well-being.

To make matters worse the pipes burst throughout my house, so my family and I haven’t been able to stay in our home. The pipes bursting caused damage to the furnace and the water tank. Emergency services came and pulled up the carpet, cut out the walls, and ceiling on two levels of our home. The damage is just over $60,000 from the estimate that was given to me to rebuild. To make matters worse, after 8 weeks of calling and not getting much response from the insurance company, they denied my claim and the work already done by the reconstruction company do to my pipes frozing.

I am unable to refinance at this time due to the mortgage not being current for 6 months. I am trying to get my family back into our home, but I have no resources to fall back on. I feel defeated and depleted. I’m confident that I will lose my house and my family without some help, which I absolutely hate to ask for.

My children are my greatest joy and motivation. They deserve a childhood free from the worries of financial instability. They deserve to focus on their studies and dreams, not on whether there will be enough food on the table or if we can keep the lights on. As a mother, it breaks my heart to see them affected by our financial struggles. I am determined to create a better future for them, but I need help to get back on my feet.
