Hi, my name is TerriAnn Behling
I never imagined I would be here, asking for help, but after the last couple of years I’ve learned that sometimes strength means reaching out.
In October of 2023, my life changed very quickly. My longtime boyfriend and I broke up, and shortly after that my mom became very sick and passed away just a few weeks later. Losing my relationship and my mother so close together left me grieving in ways I’m still trying to process.
Before everything fell apart, my ex and I had purchased a home together. He has been kind enough to continue paying his half and is willing to let me take ownership of the house. Two years later, I’m deeply grateful for that — but it’s time for me to figure out how to stand fully on my own.
2024 felt like a constant series of setbacks. I left the job I had been at for nearly seven years after my ex began dating someone we worked with. Since then, I’ve struggled to find steady work that provided the same consistent income. Despite doing everything I can, it has been incredibly difficult to get ahead.
Every time I managed to save even a little, something else would happen — car repairs, vet bills, unexpected expenses. If it wasn’t one thing, it was another. I’ve spent the past two years trying to slowly rebuild, pay down smaller debts, and improve my credit so I can qualify to take over the mortgage on my own. We are breaking our FHA loan, and I need my debt-to-income ratio and credit score to be in a better place to make this possible.
I rarely ask for help. I’ve truly tried to do this by myself. But grief is heavy, and carrying it while constantly worrying about losing my home has made it even harder to heal.
I could sell the house — but I love this home. I sold my previous house so we could buy this one. This space holds safety, stability, and the chance to finally breathe again. Keeping it would mean everything to me.
If I can raise **$5,000**, I would be able to pay off minor debts, improve my financial standing, and have a small amount left for closing costs. This would allow me to officially take over my home and move forward without constant anxiety hanging over me.
If you’re able to donate — even a dollar — please know it truly helps more than you can imagine. If you can share this, that means just as much.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me take this next step forward.
