My name is Terri Poitra. Well, I have the luck of bad timing and joke about it a lot; it's basically my credence. Usually, I handle my own and don’t do this kind of thing. Being a single mom of 5, with only 2 at home (the rest are grown for the most part), these past 2 months have been a rollercoaster. Close friends know my full story. Being unemployed for the first time in 30 years and being informed my younger brother Ramsey is on hospice. Timing is everything in this story. I may not be present for the end or the final goodbyes. I would like to see him before all that. I have no funds to speak of, so I am humbly asking for assistance to see him. Not knowing what the future holds, there is an opportunity open to visit with him. He is in Spokane, WA, over 21 hours away. The plan was for him to travel back home to the reservation, the Turtle Mountains, but it would be too hard for him. Therefore, he will be staying with my older brother. His name will stay 'older brother' due to him not liking attention. The date is Oct 7th unless I don't have the funds, then it's a waiting game and not a fun one. Sharing this for me is really freaking hard. I'm not good with words, nor with asking for help. Yet here I am. Even if people cannot help, no worries; prayers, sending love, hugs, and support help. Seeing that people care goes so much further than you know. Thank you all for taking the time to read this, share if possible.
