Help Terri & Lucky Rebuild Their Lives
Donation protected
Hi - I’m organizing a fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends Terri (Darr) & Lucky Harris, who lost everything in the Eaton Fire in Altadena.
Terri & Lucky lost their family home purchased in 1979 to the Eaton Fire in what felt like an instant. The home was the center of family life for their combined 6 kids, 14 grandkids, and 6 great-grandkids with one on the way. They lost cherished items collected over many years and essentials. We’re so grateful they’re safe, but they have a long road ahead to rebuild their lives after this unimaginable loss.
Terri is a substitute teacher at Mayfield Junior School in Pasadena, CA, and has been in education for over 25 years - at Jefferson Elementary School on special assignment as a counselor, as a classroom teacher, as a career advisor, and as a program coordinator. She has actively participated in local parent organizations such as the PTA, worked as a Girl Scout Leader, and a teacher for community-based faith organizations.
Lucky graduated from Pasadena’s John Muir High School in 1962. He is a Vietnam Army veteran and worked for Los Angeles Unified School District as a Maintenance and Operations Engineer for 20 years and a Chevron Refining Engineer for 22 years.
Any amount you can contribute helps provide necessities, comfort, and peace of mind. Please share with your friends, colleagues, and communities too.
About me: I’m a La Canada Flintridge, CA resident, and Terri’s granddaughter Indira is my daughter’s best friend since kindergarten. All funds will be directly sent to and used by Terri & Lucky.
