Hello beautiful family and dear friends of Terri Sweet! We decided to set up this Go Fund Me to help mom as she recovers from her APR surgery. Abdominoperineal Resection (APR) is a surgery in which the anus, rectum and sigmoid colon are removed. The APR surgery is scheduled for this Friday morning and she will be recovering at VCU Hospital for a week. Once she is discharged, her at home recovery time is 6-8 weeks. We know this poses it's challenges for her, as she will have limited mobility and also requires her to have a colostomy bag. We are making an effort to ease her lost income and help her feel as comfortable as possible.
