Help Terri and Ernie Jones with Medical Expenses

As friends of Terri and Ernie Jones since the early 70s, I am deeply saddened to be doing this, but I want to help and they deserve it. I am making this ‘Go Fund Me’ page to help with the medical expenses of Terri's terminal cancer.

Many people throughout South Georgia know Pastor Ernie Jones and his wife Terri. Ernie has been a Pastor in South Georgia since the 80s - Bainbridge, Adel, Quitman, Valdosta, Faceville and others. He and Terri were married on 14 March, 1976, so, as of this posting, they have been married for 49 years and they have been dedicated to Ministry, church work and spreading the Gospel their entire marriage.

You may be aware that Terri was hospitalized in early February and diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She was given approximately 1 month to live and has been at home, under the care of Hospice, ever since.

They are currently undergoing the tremendous accumulation of debt, that typically occurs in such situations. Ernie is currently Interim Pastor at Naylor Baptist Church near Valdosta and is a car salesman in Adel, where he continues to work, while he also tends to Terri's needs. [Let me just say, if you are looking for an automobile, Ernie is the most Honest salesmen in the area. Go by and let him help you find a car.]

As you may know, being a Pastor is a difficult calling. It is not a typical job with benefits. Insurance and retirement issues abound and are usually not covered by the church. After a life of service to others, Pastors often find themselves with not enough insurance to meet a dire need, such as this, and retirement issues can be complex.

Six weeks ago, Terri was basically a healthy woman with only normal health issues. One Sunday morning, while preparing for church, she suffered sudden and severe thoracic pain which resulted in this diagnosis and situation. Please consider a gift to assist the worthy couple.
