Terrence, Delaney Johnson’s beloved cat, has always been a source of comfort and joy. Just six days ago, after being nurtured by the humane society, Terrence’s health took a sudden and frightening turn. Delaney came home from work to find Terrence completely limp, his eyes open but unresponsive. After a grueling 10-hour shift, she rushed through a snowstorm to get him to the emergency vet, where he was admitted in critical condition. The veterinary team discovered that Terrence had a severe urinary block and had not been able to go to the bathroom for several days. His heart rate was dangerously low, sitting at just 86 when it should have been in the upper 200s. To make matters worse, there was unexplained fluid in his chest, and he required immediate, intensive care. Terrence is now hospitalized and will need to stay in the animal hospital for 48-72 hours, with his condition still critical and many questions unanswered. The current vet bill is already overwhelming, and it continues to rise as Terrence receives the care he desperately needs. Delaney, who just moved into her first apartment three days before this crisis, is doing everything she can to save her best friend. She simply cannot afford the mounting costs but is not willing to give up on Terrence, who means the world to her. Every donation, no matter the size, will help cover Terrence’s emergency vet care and ongoing medical bills. Your support will give Terrence a fighting chance and help bring him home to Delaney, where he belongs. Please consider helping this sweet cat and his devoted owner during their time of need.
