Help Terrence Stay at Morehouse

Hello, my name is Terrence Epps Jr. I'm a second-year student at Morehouse College, currently in good academic standing, majoring in Biology with a minor in Sociology. As a proud first-generation college student, I've worked hard to make it this far. But the journey hasn't been easy.
When I first walked into my dorm room, I felt something I had never truly felt before—relief. It was like I could finally breathe. After years of grinding, struggling, and pushing through pain and pressure, I had made it. Morehouse wasn't just a college to me—it was proof that I belonged somewhere greater, that all the sacrifice wasn't futile. For the first time, I felt free from the weight of survival and able to just exist as a young Black man chasing his purpose while feeling safe and belonging. Nothing like the journey it took to get to Morehouse.
I come from a line of strong Black women who, unfortunately, each raised their children alone, doing whatever it took to survive and provide. I have also experienced life with an absent father who is still battling his addictions to cocaine, PCP, and molly. However, I am choosing a different path. I am determined to beat the odds and break generational cycles.
Right now, I've managed to save about $2,000 toward my education, but it's still not enough. Without additional support, I may be forced to pause my journey through the brotherhood and legacy that is Morehouse College. But I believe in miracles—and I believe in community.
If you're able to support in any way—whether financially or by simply sharing my story—it would mean the world to me. Every bit helps me stay enrolled, stay focused, and continue working toward becoming a Black man in medicine who gives back.
Thank you for believing in me, even if we've never met. I promise I won't stop pushing forward.
