While I was on a two day vacation during spring break, my sugar glider Terrence got his leg tangled in a blanket. The pet sitter found him injured, and we left early from our vacation, throwing things together quickly to rush him to the emergency vet. After the initial visit, a second vet appointment confirmed that Terrence’s injury was severe enough that his leg would need to be amputated. This news was heartbreaking for my family, as Terrence is a beloved companion and brings so much joy to our lives. The surgery is necessary to give him a chance to live and lead a life without pain, but the cost is more than my family can manage right now.
