Help Terra Get Past the Mast(ectomy). Cancer sucks
On September 12th the news brought all of our lives to a screeching halt. Terra has breast cancer. How could that be possible, at the age of 33? Two weeks later, we await her double mastectomy which is scheduled for October 1st. She has been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Stage I. Thankfully she caught it early, but the road ahead is long and the list of expenses even longer. On top of the lab work, imaging, diagnostic procedures, consultations, medications, surgery and hospital stay, she will also have to take time off of work to recover and THEN undergo reconstruction and incur the expenses related to that. Not only that but Terra and James JUST moved and are currently paying two mortgages while waiting on their old house to sell. Please, help my sister and her husband relieve some of the financial burden and stress associated with this horrendous disease. Cancer really SUCKS. But trust me, if anyone knows how much of a fighter my sister is, it's me (amirite mom and dad?)...She is going to knock cancer flat on its back. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with encouraging words, a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on so far for my sister and our family. We truly appreciate you all. Please continue to send all the good vibes, prayers, love and support her way. You've got this, Terra. We love you!
