My friends Mom, Teri Renn-Bailey, is a hard working single Christian mother supporting herself and her son by herself. A few days ago, she went to the hospital for some back pain she was having. The back pain, however, lead to her having to have surgery to prevent what would have been a heart attack. However, while the doctors were diagnosing her, they found out that she also has pneumonia and that her diabetes has been getting worse. As a result of all of these things, Teri is going to have to be out of work for potentially over a month. They were already struggling to make ends meet before all of this came up. When she wasn't working her 12 hour night shifts as a newborn care specialist, Teri would often spend her time off working together with her son to deliver food through DoorDash. Her son has been trying to get a job for a long time now so that he can help in situations like this, but due to where they live and their transportation options being limited, he has not been able to get one up to this point. He was actually expecting to get a call back from an interview at the same time all of this transpired but Teri had to pause their phone and internet service to be able to try and afford to pay all of the bills that they now have.
