Imagine returning home from a refreshing vacation, excited after visiting your family, only to feel unwell the next day. You think it's just a routine visit to the doctor, but they recommend further tests. While you wait, you assume the tests will confirm pneumonia. Then, the doctor enters, sits down, and delivers devastating news: you have cancer, stage four, spreading throughout your body, with little hope for effective treatment. In a few short hours, you go from being a healthy, active man to receiving the worst health news imaginable. This is the reality for our friend, co-worker, and family member, Tereso.

Tereso is a dedicated family man, cherished by his loving wife, parents, and siblings. Always smiling and accompanied by uplifting music from the nearest radio, he has a gift for brightening anyone’s day. Now, it’s time for us to return the favor and alleviate the financial strain this diagnosis will impose on him. Many of us have been affected by cancer, and while the news never gets easier, we can come together to support Tereso. Over the past two years, I’ve enjoyed getting to know him, and I can assure you that the world would be a significantly better place if there were more people like Tereso. His positivity is infectious, lifting the spirits of those around him. His work ethic is unmatched, and without a doubt, among the hundreds, perhaps thousands of employees I have managed, Tereso stands out as one of my favorites and one of the best individuals I’ve ever met.
