While attending the Kansas City RV Show late January, Teresa Willis, experienced a devastating loss. Early Saturday morning her truck and all of her business tools were stolen just hours before she was scheduled to work the show.
Teresa's truck wasn’t just transportation. It held her entire livelihood. Teresa has spent 5 hard years building her small business, Sparkle Travel &RV Services, from the ground up. Five years of slowly collecting the tools needed for her trade and in a flash they were gone.
Since her truck was older and did not have full insurance coverage, insurance is not available to help recover her losses.
Teresa's business is not just how she makes a living, it’s her passion and her purpose. In true Teresa fashion, after waiting for the police to take a report, she still showed up to the RV show, led seminars, networked, and supported RV owners and buyers. When the RV show was over, she took the train home.
Once home, she called me and said, “I just lost my entire business.”
It broke my heart.
We had hoped to at least recover Teresa's truck. Unfortunately this morning it was recovered. Totally striped and burnt. A total loss.
Teresa is always the first to lend a hand to friends, family, and her community. She consistently uses her voice and works to support the environment, human rights and woman and minority owned businesses. Her kindness and caring have touched so many lives.
Now she is in need. She needs our help rebuilding her life's work.
Funds raised will go directly toward purchasing a replacement truck and replacing the tools needed to serve her customers.
