Teresa and Scott Davis are two of the most selfless and caring people I know. Teresa worked for me and has always had a passion for helping others, especially those with developmental disorders. She dedicates her time and energy to making sure people can overcome challenges and live their best lives. Scott, her husband, has been disabled for years due to heart health issues, but his devotion to Teresa and his unwavering support in all her endeavors is truly inspiring. Together, they are a shining example of how love and friendship can help a marriage thrive, even in the face of adversity.

Recently, their journey has taken a difficult turn. Scott is scheduled for heart surgery on December 29th, 2025. Teresa will need to take unpaid leave from work to care for him during his recovery. She has already used all her paid time off, and although her co-workers offered to donate their PTO, her company cannot accommodate this. Teresa will be on FMLA to keep her job, but this means they will have no income to cover their rent, utilities, meals, and other essential needs. The stress of Scott’s surgery is overwhelming enough without the added worry of how they will manage financially during this critical time. Teresa plans to return to work as soon as Scott is stable, but until then, they are facing a period of uncertainty and hardship.

Throughout their lives, Teresa and Scott have always been there for others—preparing meals, house sitting, dog sitting, and offering support whenever they could, even while navigating their own challenges. Now, they need help for a short period.
