Help Teresa Langford Pursue Her MFA in London

Hi there!

My name is Teresa Langford and I am an actor and writer based in New York City. This year, I've been given the opportunity of a lifetime: I have been accepted in London Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts’ MFA program in Professional Acting. Around 3,000 people audition and only 30 are accepted. I am honored to be able to pursue this advanced degree at a school offering the highest level of training in a city that has always called for my return to it: London!

Though I have some financial aid and am able to take out loans, shit is EXPENSIVE y'all!!! Finding financial support for the up front costs of visas, plane tickets, accommodations and deposits has been difficult, which was expected for a master's program abroad, but also -- we stay living in NYC while trying to make this transition happen.

As many of y'all well know, I am infamous for having 6,000 jobs at once, but lo and behold, London is still as expensive as New York. My community is everything to me, and I humbly ask for support for some up front costs that will help me get on over there (Student visa application fee, 2-year visa, and healthcare charges), that have turned up everything everywhere all at once.

Here's the breakdown:

$2,747.08 - 2 year visa and health surcharge

$742 - application fee for visa & biometrics

$3,500 - The Neat-o Goal

There is so much happening in the world. There are many causes that need and deserve monetary support. But opportunities like this do not come around often, and my way of contributing to the world is amplified by furthering my studies, creating art, and finding ways to carve a path for voices that deserve to be heard but are too busy working 60 hours a week to have the same access to opportunity.
