Hello I am Teresa Mize, I am a local farmer in Norman, Ok. My farm has been around for 40 years. My husband and I took it over in 2004, we raised 4 children on the property. We are well known at the famers market in Norman. We have grown a variety of produce, plants and flowers. In 2021 my husband unexpectedly passed away, leaving me with the farm. I lost half my income and half my labor.

Since he passed, I have still been trying to keep the farm going. I have been able to keep it maintained until this passed September when the government shut down. Which really impacted my market sales, causing me to struggle to keep the farm going and keeping my home. I am truly dedicated to this and want to keep my farm going.

We really need to keep all our local farmers producing food, as there is only 1.5% of the population are farmers and produce food.
