Teresa Carrillo Medina is my aunt, and she is the heart of our family. She is the kind of person who always shows up for others, the one who checks in, lends a hand, and makes sure everyone feels cared for and loved. Her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength have touched so many lives, and our family simply wouldn’t be the same without her.

Recently, Teresa received the devastating news that she has breast cancer. As our family began preparing to stand beside her in that fight, doctors discovered she is also facing serious heart problems. Now, before she can even start cancer treatment, Teresa must undergo open heart surgery. This has been an unexpected and overwhelming time for her and for all of us who love her. Along with the emotional toll, the financial burden of surgery and medical care is more than she can carry alone.
