Help Teresa and Tina Overcome Heart Surgery Costs

My name is Laura Thomas. I am raising funds to help my dear friends with major expenses not covered by insurance. Teresa and Tina live in Galestown MD (but have a Seaford DE. Mail address) are two of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of calling friends. They have helped so many themselves in the past. They also have many rescued pets that they have given a loving home to.

Tina has had major heart issues for many years. Local doctors had given up. After multiple doctors' meetings and refusals, she was accepted at Med Star in Washington and offered a chance with an open heart surgery procedure. The first surgery was on 6/20/2024. Unfortunately, she had to have a second surgery the following day. She has been in ICU since then.

Teresa has stayed, only coming home to Galestown for a few hours twice. The cost of parking is $20 to $30 a day, and the cost of fuel, food, and housing has taken a toll. Both are retired and living on social security. It is unknown when Tina will be able to leave Med Star for what is going to be a long rehab hospital stay before finally coming home to her beloved pets.
