Mama Teresa’s second chance in life: A new kidney!

As you might know, our mom Teresa is set to get a new kidney on September 9. Thank God that her daughter, Penny, is a perfect match and will be her donor.

Throughout her two years of struggling with her kidney disease, the family has kept up with all medical costs and care. However, after she receives her new kidney, she will also lose the only medical insurance that she has. Once she receives her new kidney, she will have many follow-up visits and testing and must take anti-rejection medication for the rest of her life.

Penny has been the main caregiver in the household and has not been able to start a new job since she is donating her kidney and will have a 12+ weeks recovery up ahead. Once she is back on her feet, she will be ready to get back to work.

Our family is faithful, strong, and resilient but we do need some assistance. The transition to no insurance coverage will be hard as well as the following weeks. Please find it in your heart to donate what you can. The funds will go towards medical bills for mom and Penny, bills, and daily necessities. God is good and we are so blessed to have this new chance in life for our dear mom.
