2026 has had a very difficult beginning for our family. We have weathered grief and day to day struggles while still trying to move our family forward. Matt is studying for his KDAC and will have his certification in July. I, Teresa, recently started my teaching credential at CLU.

The reason for this GFM is a last resort to keep our family afloat. Since Matt started a new position and I have had to work less hours at my second job: things have been tight. I was fortunate enough to get a scholarship refund from CLU that was going to sustain our family until Matt’s payroll became regular.

However, March 1 we had our account drained by a scammer. It’s my fault and I am physically ill at the thought of what happened. Basically, they caught me when I was stressed and worried and by the time I realized what was happening, they had taken $2515 from our account. It took about 45 seconds. I immediately filed claims with Chase but it really seems like they aren’t concerned with giving us our money back.

We have scrambled to borrow from payday apps to make rent. That money needs to be paid back by next Friday March 13. There are also other bills to be paid and we are at a loss as to what to do.

We have worked so hard to maintain our lives. If you know us, we have always found a solution on our own. This is a last ditch effort since there seems to be no other alternatives. Please help us continue to keep the blessings our family has painstakingly received.
