My name is Tera, and I am reaching out during the most difficult time of my life. Just a few days ago, my husband Jim was in a terrible car accident. He is now in the ICU with a crushed rib cage, a crushed left shoulder, and a punctured lung. Jim did not have health insurance, and he was the one who paid our house payments. The hospital bills are already overwhelming, and I honestly don’t know how anyone could pay them off in a lifetime.

As if that wasn’t enough, two days after Jim’s accident, my son Josh was in a serious accident in Wisconsin. He has a brain bleed and multiple facial fractures. I live in Kentucky and cannot get up to see him because of work and because my car wouldn’t make it that far. Jim is in Tennessee, and I can’t get there to be with him either.

Right now, I am only asking for help with my house payments until I can get Jim on disability. I will worry about the hospital bills later.
