Help Tendi & Scott Celebrate Love in Botswana

Hi, I’m Tendi, and this is my husband, Scott. Three years ago, we got married during the COVID-19 pandemic in a small, intimate ceremony in Alabama, surrounded by just a few close friends and Scott's family. Unfortunately, my family from Botswana couldn’t be there, and we didn’t have a reception. While the day was special, we’ve always dreamed of celebrating in a way that truly reflects who we are and unites our families.

We’ve been saving up to make that dream come true in Botswana, the place I proudly call home. However, like many couples, unexpected costs have added up, and we’ve found ourselves falling short of the funds needed to cover everything.

This wedding isn’t just about us; it’s an opportunity to bring both of our families together. Scott’s parents will be travelling to Botswana for the first time, and this is a chance for them to experience the rich Kalanga culture that is such an integral part of my identity. While Scott has had the privilege of visiting Botswana before, this will be a life-changing experience for his parents, allowing them to understand and appreciate my heritage in a deeply personal way.
