As some of you know Temojai Inhofe has been battling a number of serious health issues. Temojai has had neck issues for years. She tried physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, myofascial therapy, inversion table, & exercise. After having an MRI in Nov of 2020, it showed that she had lost the protective coating (Milan Coating) that protects the nerves of the spine. The diagnosis was Osteoarthritis & Spinal/Cervical Stenosis. In early Feb of 2021 her neck and shoulder spasms intensified. Because things progressed so quickly her surgery was moved up from July to March 30th. She under went spinal fusion surgery to fuse C3-4, C4-5, C5-6, C6-7, and T1 of her Vertebrae. The surgery was successful, recovery went well until after 4 weeks she then started having unbearable intense neck muscle spasms again. After a period of recovery she went back to work for 3 months still under intense pain. Trying to find more help she went to the Steadman Clinic in Vail Colorado, thay had no answeres but injected lidocaine and other drugs into where the nerves attach to the spinal bone, which made things worse.

Seeking more medical help she went to a neurologist in Montrose Colorado. She was then diagnosed with Cervical Dystonia which is known to be incurable. She was referred to a neurologist in Grand Junction Colorado and has recently undergone injections of Botox into her neck and shoulder muscles to block nerve signal to the muscles. This is the least invasive way to stop the muscle spasms in Cervical Dystonia. She will have to have these injections every 3-6 months for the rest of her life.

She was given a 3 month unpaid sabbatical from her work in hopes that she can recover enough to go back to work. She also will lose her work insurance and go on medicaid insurance.

Temojai's job is working as an advocate in a non profit organization in San Miguel County in Colorado, which provides the only services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Temojai wants to get strong and go back to work and be a mother for her daughter Roxy.
