If you know, you know- some animals are truly family members. Tekoa is cherished and integrated into our family on such a deep level.

Steve, Denise and family have been devastated by the sudden news that Tekoa, who just turned 6 years old, has a form of what looks like leukemia. Steve, who knows Tekoa better than the back of his hand, noticed some behavioral changes, and after a full day at the emergency vet, his work up eventually pointed to leukemia. We’re still waiting on a more detailed and specific diagnosis of the type. In an attempt to give him his best chance at more quality time with his family, thoughtfully approached oncology and supportive care will be starting immediately. This is very expensive in the veterinary world, the bill is already near 5k and rapidly rising, so we’re asking for help!

Tekoa is a praying pup - asking for all the prayers we can get for successful treatments and peace in the process! And of course, any support you can offer whether it’s financial, or holding the situation up in prayer to a God who sees even the sparrows… will be so incredibly appreciated by those that love this precious pooch!
