Hello everyone,

My name is Tekila, a proud Jamaican. I am reaching out with a heavy heart. Recently, Hurricane Melissa swept through our beloved island and left my family in complete devastation. The storm destroyed everything in its path, including my grandmother’s home.

The land my family lives on was purchased years ago by my father, who worked tirelessly to give our family a place to call our own. He has always done his best to support everyone back home, even from afar. But after this disaster, there’s only so much he can do, and right now, our family is struggling to rebuild from nothing.

We are doing our best to stay strong, but the loss is overwhelming. The roof that once sheltered our loved ones is gone, the land is damaged, and the sense of security we once had has been shaken. My family needs help to rebuild their homes, restore basic necessities, and recover from this tragedy.
