Help Fund Life Shop Foundation’s 2026–2027 School Year
Across our communities, teenagers are growing up in a world that is more complicated than ever before.
Many teens struggle with confidence, communication, leadership, and practical life skills that are critical for adulthood.

At Life Shop Foundation in Provo, Utah, we are working to close that gap.

Life Shop is a nonprofit dedicated to helping teenagers ages 13–18 learn the real-world skills they need to thrive in life — and we provide these programs completely free to teens thanks to generous donors.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 by August 2026 to fully fund the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.

What Happens at Life Shop
Life Shop is more than a classroom.
It is a hands-on learning environment where teens explore, build, create, and develop real-world skills.

Students participate in engaging “shops” that teach skills rarely taught in school.

Practical Life Skills
Teens learn how to:
• Fix everyday household problems in Home Maintenance Shop
• Respond to emergencies through CPR & First Aid training
• Cook affordable and healthy meals in Cooking & Nutrition classes
• Understand the true cost of adulthood and budgeting

These are skills that help teens become independent adults.

Financial & Career Skills
Many young people graduate without understanding money or career planning.
Life Shop changes that.

Students learn:

• Financial Literacy and Investing
• How to Start a Business
• Career Exploration
• Credit and personal finance management

These lessons empower teens to build financial independence early.

Technology & Innovation
Life Shop also prepares teens for the modern world.
Students explore:

• 3D printing and digital fabrication
• Web development and technology skills
• Podcast production and media creation

These experiences introduce teens to emerging technologies and creative careers.

Hands-On Mechanical Skills
One of the most exciting classes is Auto Shop, where teens build and race Traxxas RC cars.
Students learn:

• mechanical problem solving
• engineering basics
• troubleshooting and repair skills

When something breaks — they learn how to fix it.

These lessons build confidence and critical thinking.

Leadership & Academic Success
Life Shop also supports teens in school and personal development through classes like:
• How to Succeed in High School
• ACT / SAT Test Preparation
• Leadership Development
• Book Club discussions

Students build confidence in communication, teamwork, and goal setting.

A Safe Place to Belong
Beyond classes, Life Shop provides something many teens desperately need:
A welcoming place to connect.

Students can participate in:

• Friday night tournaments
• board games and strategy games
• driving simulators and racing
• e-sports and gaming
• billiards, ping pong, and social activities

Life Shop is a safe, positive environment where teens build friendships and community.

Why This Matters
When teens develop confidence, skills, and purpose, the impact spreads far beyond the classroom.
We see:

• teens becoming leaders
• students more engaged in school
• stronger families
• more confident young adults entering the workforce

Life Shop is helping create the next generation of capable, responsible leaders.

Why We Need Your Help
All Life Shop programs are free for teens thanks to the generosity of donors.
Funding supports:

• instructors and mentors
• program materials and tools
• technology and equipment
• workshop space and utilities
• expanding programs to reach more teens

Our goal is to raise $100,000 by August 2026 to ensure the next school year is fully funded before it begins.
