My Story on Mental Health Matters

Dear Friends and Supporters,

For the past 22 years, I have been navigating the challenging path of PTSD, which began with a diagnosis that led me through various treatments and therapies. Throughout my life, I’ve faced a series of traumatic events, including physical, sexual, and psychological abuse, isolation, neglect, torture, abandonment, and the sudden loss of my son’s father. Each decade has brought its own struggles, compounding the trauma I've experienced.

Currently, I am undergoing schema therapy but have recently hit a wall and don't seem to be getting anywhere with it.

Diagnoses of ADHD and CPTSD were given 2 years ago. ( I was also diagnosed with PTSD in my early 20's)

These conditions, combined with chronic pain, a nearly nonexistent metabolism, depression and anxiety, have significantly impacted my daily life.

I have been isolating myself from the outside world and not taking care of myself. Doing the bare minimum, emotionally eating and only socialising online where I feel safe. I have zero family support here in Australia.

I am sole carer for my son who has special needs and I have had been in carer burnout for the past 3 years.

I have learned about a promising procedure called the stellate ganglion block, developed by Dr. Lipov in Chicago. Initially used to help patients with chronic pain, it has also shown remarkable results for those suffering from PTSD. This procedure aims to reset the nervous system, potentially reducing or eliminating the need for medication and helping individuals regain control over their lives.

Several friends who have undergone this procedure have shared transformative experiences, and I am hopeful it could offer me a chance to reset my nervous system and improve my well-being. This would enable me to better support my son, engage in meaningful activities, and eventually return to a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Due to my health conditions and my son’s special needs, I am unable to work full-time. I am seeking support to help with the cost of this procedure, which is a crucial step toward healing and rebuilding my life. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated and would bring me closer to achieving this important goal.

The funds needed include flights to Melbourne which is the closest location to me where I can get the procedure done.

I want to become the best version of myself so I can live my life to the full and give my son everything he deserves and more <3
