Help Tedwin walk pain free

Tedwin has had a very unfortunate few years. He was born in 31/10/2012, and he has just turned 7.

In 2018 Tedwin's left cruciate ligament ruptured suddenly due to falling off a small ledge. Sadly when opened up his caudal and cranial cruciate had both been affected as well as damage to the meniscus, which resulted in a very expensive £2500 total for surgery, xrays and treatment, as well as aftercare. His leg healed fantastically, and he began to walk without a limp and I saw the old Ted come back, running and playing like he used too.

All seemed well.

In  the beginning of July 2019 Tedwin began frantically licking his feet as well as holding them up. I rushed him to the vets with a suspected grass seed inbedded. Luckily, no seed was found,  but due to an infection in his toe a course of antibiotics was given. Licking continued, with limping becoming more obvious he was sedated again to try and find a further cause. A nail bed infection was there, but it was a worry as it was now possibly in his bone. His nail was removed, the wound cleaned and another course of antibiotics to try and clear up his nasty infection. Thankfully, he made a quick recovery and he started walking normally. This all cost roughly £500.

All seemed well until I noticed limping and uneven weight distribution on his front legs again at the end of July 2019, so only 2 weeks later. Concerned something was going on, xray's were performed. £350 later it was sadly it was discovered that Ted had 'Premature Closing of the Ulna Growth Plates' which basically meant his ulna in his front legs was shorter which meant the bones had bowed as he grew. Although this was not a bad case, he had also significant bony protusions in his elbow joints which meant he had developed chronic arthritis which was sadly made worse when his cruciate ligament went, the year before. He has been put on anti inflammatory medications as well as a joint supplement which should hopefully help, this is roughly £50 per month.

Fast forward to the end of October 2019, his right cruciate ligament has now ruptured, we have given two weeks to see if rest will help but sadly the pain is still high and surgery will be the best option. He has surgery booked, and it is going to be roughly £1400, sadly due to the expense earlier in the year I am struggling to get the money together and I am looking for donations to help towards the cost of this surgery. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

I would like to thank my work colleagues who have managed to raise £200 for my baby, so thank you very much.

I just want to see my little fur baby walk pain free.

Thank you so much
