NEW UPDATE: Teddy got his staples out of his leg today and is healing nicely. The first surgery ended up being $2600, thanks to the donations from GoFundMe and other donations outside of this site, everything is appreciated. He still needs to have hip and rib surgery from his injuries from getting hit by the car in our yard. Surgery will be scheduled once we have a down payment, scrambling trying to get this together as his last surgery will be $2400. UPDATE: Teddy had his first surgery 4/9/25 on his leg, everything went well. We go for a follow up Monday to discuss the next surgery for hip and ribs. We also based on his surgery got a lower quote, which is great. Thank you for all who have helped and please continue to share, thank you.

I have never done this before and I’m really desperate. My Pomeranian Teddy was hit in our yard on 4/4/25. The car went through our driveway in the early morning while it was dark and raining, hitting him in our yard, driving through our ditch, and back onto the road, leaving him broken in our yard. I saw everything happen and ran outside, picking him up as he could not walk. After taking him to the vet and then being transferred to the vet hospital, he has a broken femur that will need a plate and about 6 pins along with a broken hip and ribs. Amputation was on the table for his leg until they saw the actual break, which after review, they no longer can consider. His break is so bad it’s like having an internal knife and any wrong move could cut an artery. So he will need two separate surgeries in a week. Based on the amount of the surgeries, which is about $6500 total, it is not in the budget. Asking for help to save my dog, anything helps and I’m ever so grateful. Thank you.
