Help Teddy Walk Again – Emergency Surgery for Our Boy

Yesterday when our lovely Teddy was enjoying the sun at home, being his normal self, we never could’ve imagined that less than 24 hours later through no trauma or injury, we would be facing the heartbreaking ultimatum of needing over £6,000 to help save his ability to walk and potentially his life due to the neurological effect a sudden spinal problem is having.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts for help to save our beloved dog, who is only 8 years old. Teddy is more than just a pet, he’s our baby, our best friend, and the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet with the silliest underbite.

Over the past day, Teddy’s condition has rapidly declined. He has a potential slipped disc and has lost the use of his back legs. He can’t walk, sit up without falling, won’t eat or drink, cries constantly, and extends his neck out in pain whilst his overall demeanour is completely out of character. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to see our happy boy so scared and helpless.

He urgently needs an MRI and spinal surgery which will cost £6,500 minimum, and the vets have told us time is critical. Without this surgery, Teddy may be permanently paralysed, or worse. He’s getting worse by the hour, and we’re desperate to do everything we can to give him the best chance at recovery - there is a 95% chance if we can get his surgery.

We’re doing all we can as his dog Mum’s and he is insured but only up to £1,000 and we have already spent hundreds on investigations to get him to the hospital, but we can’t cover this cost alone. That’s why we’re asking for your help. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to Teddy’s veterinary care and give him the chance to walk, play, and enjoy life again.
