Dear cherished community,

Meet my sweet boy Teddy. He is 4 years old. Recently after collapsing in the backyard, he was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia (ITP) and severe regenerative anemia (blood loss) as a result due to a hyperactive immune response to an antibiotic he was prescribed. Basically this means his body is fighting itself. The good news is, his condition, if treated has a good prognosis. He received a life saving blood transfusion last night and his vets say he will need several more. Right now he is at risk of continued bleeding until we can get his ITP under control.

With each blood transfusion and hospitalization costing between $2,000-$3,000 and further testing and medications, the costs are starting to become overwhelming. Please help me save my good boy. He is a little brother to two human sisters who adore him and a big brother to a very furry little brother who would be lost without him.
