Help Ted Rebuild After Eaton Fire Loss

Hi there,

My name is Tammy and I am Ted's sister. My kids and I are helping to raise funds for my brother, who lost his home and belongings of 36 years in the devastating Eaton fires in Altadena.

Through the many years Ted lived in Altadena, he was very involved in his community. He made friends wherever he would go. He was the kind of neighbor who would lend a helping hand whenever someone was in need. It was very important to him to support local businesses and always made it a priority to attend local events.

While we are very grateful that he is safe, the loss is devastating. Like so many others, in the community, Ted now faces the unimaginable: his house and all of his belongings reduced to ashes. For someone who literally would give you the shirt off his back, it’s uncanny that all he has left now, is the shirt on his back. Among the items lost are cherished memories, keepsakes from his childhood, mementos from our late parents/grandparents, photographs, and irreplaceable reminders of life he shared with his beloved wife, who passed away just three years ago. While we know these are “just things” they were so much more to him, they were refection’s of love, and joy, connections to loved ones, and resilience that defined his life.

Ted has always been the most uplifting, positive person you could meet. Despite the many challenges he has faced, including the loss of his wife after years of devoted care, he’s never let hardship dim his spirit. Now he faces yet another overwhelming loss.

We’re asking for help to give Ted the foundation he needs to restore his life. Your generous contributions will go directly to Ted, helping with immediate needs like food, clothing, temporary housing, and anything not covered by insurance or FEMA. This will provide support as he begins the long journey of navigating through the uncharted territory of this next chapter in his life.
