On Saturday, April 4, 2026 Ted experienced a heartbreaking loss when his truck caught fire and was completely destroyed. While we are incredibly grateful that Ted and Genesis are safe, the truck itself was a total loss and it meant so much more than “just a truck. “

Ted poured his heart and soul into this truck and spent over 10 years designing, customizing, and building his dream truck. It was something he truly earned through years of hard work and dedication. To see it all lost in a matter of moments, watching it burn on the side of I-10 after doing everything he could to try and save it. This is something no one should have to go through.

This was not just a truck it was a huge part of his livelihood. He used it for the fruit stand, hauling flowers, pumpkins, Christmas trees, and so much more to serve our community.

In the middle of such a devastating moment, Ted showed incredible bravery and quick thinking. He acted fast and was not only able to save himself and his boy but was able to save the load of flowers he was hauling back from Florida.

Ted does have insurance, but unfortunately, it will not come close to covering a truck with the level of customization and personal investment he put into it. What he lost simply can’t be replaced by a policy payout.

Now, Ted is facing the difficult reality of starting over.

Ted is not the type to ever ask for or accept a helping hand. However, after so many people have reached out asking how they can help and with encouragement from those who care about him we’ve decided to start this GoFundMe to give those who want to support him the opportunity to do so.

We’re asking for your support to help Ted replace his truck and get back on his feet. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward helping him rebuild what was lost and continue doing what he loves.
