Help Ted Heal and Keep The Outlook Farmhouse Warm
Donation protected
On January 4 at 4 am, Outlook owner and recording engineer/producer, Ted St.Pierre was carrying a bucket of firewood for the cookstove up to the second floor and fell down the entire flight of stairs. When I finally convinced him he needed to go to the Emergency Room, they found he had 14 fractures in his back and ribs, including one burst vertebra. He's lucky he's alive and not paralyzed. The past 2 months, he's spent 3 weeks in rehab, which was a hellhole, and is now at home with home health, who are wonderful. Our obstacles are many, as you can imagine, trying to keep this old farmhouse recording studio going in the middle of a New England winter with only me, plus caregiving for Ted, who's just barely getting back on his feet and has weeks or months of therapy ahead.
We opened up a downstairs room for him that we originally built for his stepfather who had Parkinson's, and the heat and electric bills are crazy because I can't supplement with firewood—it's just more work than I can physically do. I did learn how to snow plow (!) and have help shoveling. But trying to keep up with work without Ted's contribution is becoming overwhelming. I hate to ask for help, of course. But credit cards only go so far.
Your help will be very much appreciated.
