This page is dedicated to raising funds for Ted and Terri Cowperthwaite to assist them with keeping their home.

Terri has been diagnosed as disabled and cannot work. In 2024, Ted was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis in his hands. This disease causes destruction of and pain in bones and joints. This is his second autoimmune diagnosis. He has been an insulin-dependent Type I diabetic since he was 11 1/2 years old. Now Ted is unable to work any of the jobs he knows as they require the use of his hands.

They have filed for federal disability; however, due to Social Security Administration backlog, the claim is still pending. They have hired a lawyer to represent them in this case.

They have exhausted their personal funds, and their family has also reached the end of available funds. This fundraiser is to help them make it from now until the claim is approved and disability payments begin. We have a goal of keeping them in their house so they don’t become homeless. We request anything that you or your family can give and it is very appreciated.
