At TEAO Canada, we are working to help shift how care is understood and practiced in communities across the country and beyond.
Our mission is to catalyze a healing paradigm shift by offering trauma-responsive, embodied, and culturally rooted care that centers justice, dignity, and collective wellbeing.
We do this through a range of community-based initiatives, including:
• Trauma-informed peer support programs
• Community care circles and workshops
• Wellness gatherings and retreats
• Youth leadership and mental health education initiatives
• Training and partnerships with organizations seeking to build trauma-responsive environments
• Resource navigation and peer-led support for people navigating stress, crisis, trauma, and life transitions
Our work is rooted in a simple belief: healing is relational. When people experience safety, compassion, and community, new possibilities for wellbeing can emerge.
Many of our programs are intentionally offered free or at very low cost so that people navigating trauma, mental health challenges, or life transitions can access support without financial barriers.
As a small and growing nonprofit, we are currently at a critical stage of development. Community support allows us to continue running and expanding our programs, fairly compensate the artists and facilitators who contribute to this work, and sustain accessible care spaces for those who need them most.
Your support helps us:
• Sustain trauma-responsive community programs
• Expand peer-led mental health support initiatives
• Compensate facilitators, artists, and educators who share their expertise
• Offer accessible wellness gatherings and community care spaces
• Grow a network of trauma-informed, community-rooted support across Canada
Every contribution — no matter the size — helps strengthen a growing ecosystem of collective care.
When you support TEAO Canada, you’re helping build communities where people are met with compassion, dignity, and the reminder that they do not have to carry their experiences alone.
Thank you for being part of this movement toward collective healing.
