Support Team USA at the Phoenix Cup – Adaptive Golf’s Ryder Cup
38 years ago, I raised my right hand and swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. On December 22, 1989, during the Invasion of Panama, I was severely wounded—sustaining multiple gunshot wounds—and nearly gave my life in service to our country.
Now, 36 years later, I have the honor and privilege of donning the Red, White, and Blue again—not in combat, but on the golf course—as Vice Captain of Team USA for the 2025 Phoenix Cup.
The Phoenix Cup is Adaptive Golf’s version of the Ryder Cup—a 3-day international match play tournament where 14 of the best adaptive golfers from the United States face off against 14 from Europe. It’s more than a competition—it's a celebration of resilience, teamwork, and the unbreakable spirit of athletes who have overcome life-altering injuries and disabilities.
While our team is ready to represent our country with pride, this opportunity is entirely self-funded. That means each player is responsible for their own travel, lodging, uniforms, and tournament expenses. We're asking for your support to help cover all costs for Team USA so that every qualified player can focus on representing their country—not on how they’ll afford to get there.
Your donation will go directly toward:
- Hotel accommodations and transportation
- Tournament entry fees and food
- Team USA uniforms
As a combat-wounded veteran, I know what it means to serve—and now, I have the chance to lead a team of athletes who embody the same dedication and heart. With your help, we can proudly carry the American flag into international adaptive golf competition.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign. Together, we can help Team USA stand tall and compete with honor at the 2025 Phoenix Cup.
Thank you for believing in us.
