Help "Team Martin" Cross the Finish Line
Tax deductible
In the Fall of 2017, our much loved Head of School, John Martin, launched a capital campaign to help take Nativity Preparatory School New Bedford to the next level. Around that same time, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. It was the aches he felt while running that spurred him on to see the doctor. He has been battling hard for well over a year now.
Every year, Nativity Prep faculty run in the New Bedford Half Marathon to raise money to support our students; John and his wife Sheila have run with us. This year, my husband John Mannix and I wanted to do something extra special around the half marathon to honor John and our shared love for the Nativity community. So...
This year, our goal is to get as many people as we can to Help Cross the Finish Line with Team Martin. While John can't run with us this time around, we are working hard to mobilize our ENTIRE community to come together on race day - for the run, for a walk, and for a great celebration after these events!!! We want to show John just how strong our community is and we want a day to celebrate! Team Martin is going to flood the streets of NB with BLUE AND GOLD.

Interested in helping us show our support by closing the final gap in the school's Nativity2020 capital campaign? We are hoping to raise as much as we can - our goal is to be able to show John and Sheila on race day that the community that he has helped elevate is strong and full of love and gratitude. We want them to be able to see John's work come to fruition. And we have GREAT NEWS on this front...
AN ANONYMOUS DONOR HAS AGREED TO MATCH 2-1 ANY AMOUNT DONATED IN THE NAME OF PAST AND PRESENT TEACHERS AND STAFF WHO PARTICIPATE ON RACE DAY!!! If you're giving in support of past or present NP faculty/staff, please leave a note on the donation page with the runner's name. All donations in support of participating teacher/staff member and accepted between now and 3/31/19 will be considered for the Match.
Nativity2020 is all about making the school's future sustainable. First-phase capital campaign funding has allowed us to perform much-needed construction on an old section of the building. Second phase funding will help ensure the present and future health of our buildings, the development of our teachers, and continued engagement with the New Bedford community. We'd love for you to help us makes these visions our reality!
We have just $90k to go to close meet our $2,020,000 campaign goal. Join us and help us finish strong!
Go TEAM!
