Help Team Delores Fight Cancer

I’d like to introduce myself. My name is
Delores.
I was an adjunct STEM instructor for our
local community college. In 2022 my life
completely changed after a series of losses;
my life partner of 10 years was killed in a
fatal car-Semi accident. Just two weeks
later my mom had a severe stroke and I
became a lone caregiver for her. The final
straw was in October when I was
diagnosed with pancreatic cancer stage 2.
After six rounds of chemotherapy and
surgery, the tumor had actually enlarged!
The Diagnosis was not favorable . This is where hope and faith and
prayer come in. A friend called me and said
we weren't accepting this and we were
going for a second opinion at the City of
Hope in Chicago.
On April 24, 2023 the group of doctors,
nurses and practitioners at City of Hope
MedicalCenter gave me back my hope, my
faith and a fighting spirit to know that I could
beat this cancer.
The chemo treatment travel and hotel
come at a large cost that my insurance
does not cover. I have to travel to Zion,
Illinois 3 times every month, with
appointment scheduling giving little notice
as to when I have to go.
The fatigue, and the financial burden that
this disease has brought on me and my
family is an overwhelming hardship.
Having lost my job to the treatment
schedule, I have been forced to make hard
decisions between paying medical
expenses or paying for everyday living
expenses. These are decisions that no
person should be forced to make. My faith
is the only thing keeping me going.
Guidance from God and The Spirit has led
me to reaching out to others for assistance
in my struggle against cancer. I cannot do
this on my own and I am asking for your
help to fund the medical burdens arising
from defeating cancer. If you can find it in
your heart to follow The Spirit and provide
any amount that can help me defeat this
demon, please contribute to my fund.
Every amount will help, and all contributions
will go toward medical expenses and basic
living expenses.
Even if you are not able to contribute
financially, I ask that you help by praying for
me in this fight so that God may guide my
doctors to the cure that I need, and by
praying for all others suffering from cancer
to receive the healing that they need to be
able to live in God’s grace.
