Lake Superior State University's Team AMORE has been invited to compete at the 2025 Njord Challenge—the premier student world championship for autonomous ships, held in Trondheim, Norway. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase our skills on an international stage and represent not only our university, but the future of maritime robotics.
This school year, we’ve proudly competed in two prestigious events:
2024 Maritime RobotX Challenge (Sarasota, FL)
1st Place – MathWorks Simulation Challenge
4th Place – Technical Documentation
Resiliency Award
2025 RoboBoat Competition (Sarasota, FL)
Team Engagement Award
Now, we’re gearing up for our biggest challenge yet—and we need your help to get there! International travel, equipment shipping, and logistics are costly, and your support will help us bring our robot across the globe.
Team AMORE is ready to show the world what Lake Superior State University students can achieve. Thank you for helping us chase this dream and represent the U.S. in the global engineering community.
Donate today and be a part of our journey to Norway! Fund will be used for transportation of the team to & from Norway, housing, shipping our ASV Sarda-ine, components, and so much more!
We appreciate all the support!
