Help Teagus meet the Tooth Fairy

Hi friends. We need to ask for your help.

My cat son Teagus, had a vet appointment a week ago, where it was determined that he will need surgery ASAP to remove a tooth which is currently going sideways.

The cost is beyond our scope at this time, and is the only thing holding us back from scheduling this very important procedure. I am asking for $1,200 to cover the estimated cost of this procedure, as well as an additional $350, to help us be prepared in case something else comes up the day of the operation.

He received a shot of antibiotics a week ago, but this wears off after 10 days, and this upcoming Thursday (06/06), his medicine will wear off leaving this tooth exposed to the possibility of infection.

I can only imagine the pain and discomfort he has been experiencing- though he is a true champ and has not done very much complaining. Still, I want to have this done as soon as possible, so he can have this behind him and be recovering.

We have been through so much together over the last 9 years; the passing of his first dad and my dear Uncle at the end of 2014… and from Spring of 2015 until now- he has seen me through grieving personal losses, overcoming sicknesses, workaholism, adapting to injuries, roommates, more losses, recovering from alcohol addiction, medical traumas, divorce, selling our home, moving to a new place, and finally, the healing journey that has come after.

I don’t know how I would have survived the last decade without the support and love from my sweet furry companion, and his sister.

I feel I owe them so much.

In the last couple of years, my sweet boy has had his own health challenges and journey to overcome; from needing emergency urinary blockage removal surgery October 2021 to save his life, to overcoming pancreatitis in December 2022, and a gum abscess March 2023.

To say he has been a survivor already, is a huge understatement!

In all instances, he has been a true fighter and champion, and has bounced back very quickly, and strongly, all things considered.

He is one of my truest forms of inspiration.

I am deeply uncomfortable to have to write this- which is why it has taken me a week to do my best to find the words, but simply- we need your help. Any bit possible that you are able to donate to help with medical expenses, will be funds which go towards helping to save a life, and helping one of my very best friends to alleviate the pain I imagine he has been in.
