Help #TCMParty Founder Paula Guthat Fight Lupus

Our fearless #TCMParty leader, Paula Guthat needs us! You probably don't know this, but Paula suffers from advanced Lupus, a potentially fatal disease. Recently, she told me she had to stop taking some of her medications because she couldn't afford them. Friends, this is not acceptable.

Paula, with her husband Tim, founded and ran Cinema Detroit, an independent non-profit art house movie theater for more than a decade. In July 2023, they were forced to close. Paula has been furiously searching for a job - not easy in good times but harder still when you are unwell. In the meantime, Paula is still booking films for pop-up screenings, but her income from those is a fraction of what it was.

I hope that you will join me in rallying around Paula to help her get the medications she desperately needs.
