Tazzy is my 4year old chihuahua. She has always been incredibly active and not a handbag dog in any way shape or form. She trained and competed in Flyball, Agility, and heelwork to music.
near the beginning of lockdown in 2020, we were out on our daily exercise when Tazzy screamed and could no longer walk. After several emergency vets visits and 2 months of referral vets visits (they decided it was swelling of the spine in the neck), they eventually listened to me and took an X-ray of her back end. The X-ray showed that Tazzys back legs were not attached to her spine and that she has several fractures throughout her hips! Due to the time it took the vets, these fractures had already started to heal (incorrectly) and so we are trying to avoid surgery! She now needs constant meds and hydrotherapy in order to be able to walk! I am now struggling to pay for these and am worried she will need the operation in the end. This op would mean that the hips would have to be broken apart and completely rebuilt!
please help me to give my little lady somequality of life xx
