Losing my mom has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. She recently passed away, and unfortunately, she did not have life insurance. Her passing has taken a heavy toll on me mentally, emotionally, and now financially.
When she became fatally sick, I shifted from full-time work to a part-time job so I could travel back and forth to Michigan and be with her as much as possible. I don’t regret a single moment I spent with her, but it did affect my stability. I’m now in the second and third interview stages for two promising full-time positions, and I’m hopeful about what’s ahead, but I need some help to bridge this gap until I can start one of those jobs.
The funds raised will go toward essential living expenses such as rent, utility bills, and groceries, so I can stay on my feet during this transition. Asking for help is not easy for me; I’ve always tried to handle things on my own. But I keep reminding myself of the saying, “closed mouths don’t get fed.”
Any amount you are able to give means more than I can put into words. Your support, whether through a donation, a share, or even just kind words, truly makes a difference and I am deeply grateful.
